good hair doesn't happen by accident
You've invested in fabulous hair. Now let's keep it that way! Whether you're rocking fresh color, gorgeous extensions, or a precision cut, a little TLC goes a long way. Consider this your cheat sheet for keeping your hair looking salon-fresh, long after you've left my chair.
color me happy
Your color is an investment. Treat it like one!
-
Use professional, color-safe shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. Yes, moisturizing conditioner! Chemically processed hair is thirsty hair. Also, your grocery store bargain brand might be costing you more than you think. Don't let sub-par product reduce the longevity of your color. Products with the wrong pH, heavy mineral oils/parafins, or strong surfactants might oxidize/fade your color prematurely, even cause buildup.
-
Turn down the heat! Excessively hot water and styling tools can contribute to fading and damage. Cool-toned blondes are especially vulnerable to heat, and blue/violet pigment is the first to oxidize, under heat stress.
-
Always use a heat protectant before blow-drying, curling, or straightening. REAPPLY with each new tool used!
-
Keep up with your recommended maintenance schedule. Even the prettiest color needs regular love.

extensions: high
maintenance, high reward
Beautiful extensions require a little extra attention. Think of them as your favorite designer handbag: gorgeous, but not something you toss around carelessly.
-
Brush gently and regularly, supporting the hair near the attachment points. Detangle from the bottom up.
-
NEVER go to bed with wet extensions! Not only is it bad for your bio hair, it's even worse for extensions, as hair is structurally at its weakest, when damp.
-
Keep heavy oils away from the attachment points. Focus on the midshafts and ends only.
-
When sleeping, keep hair in a loose braid or loose high bun, with minimal tension.
-
Schedule maintenance appointments on time! This is probably one of the most crucial points of care. Waiting more than 6 weeks can cause matting, tangling, and excessive tension on the follicles. More than an inch of regrowth, plus weight of the extension and encapsulated shedding, plus gravity, is a recipe for irritated follicles. The longer you wait, the greater the risk.
Pro tip: Extensions don't receive the natural oils your scalp produces, so keeping the mid-lengths and ends properly hydrated, is essentual.
your hair appointment
is not a one-night stand!
Your color is an investment. Treat it like one!
We made magic in the salon. Let's not ghost each other for six months and expect the same results. Regular maintenance keeps your cut looking intentional and your color fresh.
Your ideal appointment schedule depends on your hairstyle, color, condition, and personal goals. Understanding how home care plays into hair health and color longevity also plays a huge role in your salon maintenance schedule. Let's make sure we outline all the details so both are as effortless as possible.
Prebooking your next appointment is is the easiest way to keep your hair looking fabulous, without scrambling for a last-minute opening. Brightly highlighted blondes, this is ESPECIALLY important for you! Longer than 6 weeks between touch-ups makes it very difficult to maintain hair health, without compromising it's integrity. More than a half inch of regrowth becomes difficult to touch up, in a controlled manner. Cool-toned blondes...you're fighting an up hill battle against heat and the elements. Color-depositing shampoos and conditioners help neutralize warmth, but overuse can dull even the brightest blonde, if you're not careful.
